Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Big Data Software Engineer to lead the development and management of our extensive data platform, focusing on real-time and batch processing. The role involves building next-generation, cloud-based infrastructure for data applications, with a strong emphasis on improving performance, scalability, and availability. As a crucial member of our development team, you will contribute to all software lifecycle phases, from design and experimentation to implementation and testing, collaborating closely with program managers, product managers, SDETs, and researchers in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop components for a large-scale data platform, catering to real-time and batch processing needs.
• Construct next-gen cloud-based data infrastructure to support batch and streaming applications.
• Drive performance, scalability, and availability enhancements across the big data applications landscape.
• Uphold best engineering practices, leveraging design patterns, CI/CD processes, code review, and automated testing.
• Facilitate innovation and apply cutting-edge technologies to contribute significantly to the project lifecycle.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python programming languages.
• In-depth experience with big data development tools like Spark, Kafka, and AWS technologies.
• Solid knowledge of system and application design and architecture.

Industry Experience:

• Must have experience or familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to Terraform, K8S, Spinnaker, and IAM.
• Demonstrated ability to process large volumes of data at the petabyte level is highly preferred.
• Experience with Sprint framework and notable web frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, Angular) and web stack (HTML, CSS, Webpack) is beneficial.
