Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack/Python/GraphQL) (REMOTE IN PST!)
Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader within the media & entertainment industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for their team! This role is remote, but you must be located in PST or MST! In addition, this Senior Software Engineer will have proficiency in Python web development using Django, Flask, FastAPI or similar frameworks. This team provides a unified platform for viewing, managing, and securing the authentication, authorization, policies, and credentials used by streaming developers and the infrastructure platform that they use.

Experience of the right candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
Full Stack developer with 5 years of experience in Python web development using Django, Flask, FastAPI or similar frameworks
At least 3 years of experience setting up or maintaining applications in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or similar environments/tools
Strong communication and writing skills
Experience creating and maintaining APIs using GraphQL
Experience with MySQL, Postgres, or MongoDB
Experience with front-end development, especially React
Experience integrating applications with LDAP in Python
Experience giving demos to technical audiences
Solid experience building and designing highly scalable, fault tolerant and highly available systems
Experience setting up personal projects that run in a cloud hosting environment
Auth Tools are nice to have but not needed
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
Will be in the production platform engineering group
Developing portals and tools
Lots of API systems
Python web development skillset
80-20 or 90-10 backend to front end
Inside of a developer platform or DevOps space but won’t be doing direct automation
Being a part of self-service tooling
Important to test end to end tooling and understanding how their backend customization will benefit the developers further down the line
Experience doing provisioning inside AWS with those tools
Providing a source of truth for identity access and management data
Access control, meta data management, making DevOps control self service
