Eduworks Corporation, a leading defense contractor at the forefront of human performance optimization, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Linked Data & Human Performance (Government Defense) to join our team. About the Role: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in running projects that involve developing and implementing next-generation solutions that leverage linked data concepts to improve training, decision-making, and overall human performance in defense applications. You will combine your expertise in web technologies with a passion for human performance optimization to design, build, and integrate secure and scalable software systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to projects with a direct impact on national security. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain web-based applications and user interfaces utilizing linked data principles and standards. Utilize linked data concepts (RDF, JSON-LD, etc.) to integrate disparate data sources and improve information accessibility for human performance optimization purposes. Develop innovative solutions that leverage linked data to enhance training content, personalize learning experiences, and support effective decision-making in operational environments. Collaborate with human factors engineers, instructional designers, and subject matter experts to understand the unique needs of warfighters and translate them into technical solutions. Implement best practices for secure coding and contribute to the development of secure and reliable software products. Participate in code reviews and unit testing to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in linked data, web technologies, and human performance research. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 10+ years of experience in web development using languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue or other relevant frameworks. Demonstrated ability to run small teams and meet customer requirements and deadlines. Familiarity with software architecture practices and principles, including demonstrated ability to produce architectural documentation. Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance. Understanding of security principles and best practices for web development. Experience working in a government contracting environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Desired Qualifications: Working knowledge of linked data concepts, standards, and technologies (RDF, JSON-LD, etc.) Experience with data integration techniques and APIs The ideal candidate may also be considered for growth opportunities based on the following additional qualifications: Experience with setting up and running DevOps or DevSecOps processes and toolkits to ensure conformance with ongoing security requirements. Experience with running IT within a government contracting environment, to possibly include facility clearance management and other cybersecurity duties. Experience with UI/UX design of software systems.
