Job Summary We are seeking a talented Senior Generalist Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. Position Overview: You’ll collaborate closely with the founding team to architect, develop, and scale our platform while delivering a seamless user experience. This role requires deep expertise across various engineering domains, including front-end and back-end development, cloud infrastructure, mobile apps, and DevOps. You will be instrumental in building a high-quality product and shaping the engineering culture of the company. Key Responsibilities: Architect, develop, and maintain our app using Ionic, Capacitor, and Angular frameworks, with potential future migration to React Native for the front end. Build, deploy, and manage microservices on GCP or AWS. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js and MongoDB or Progress databases. Create and optimize user-friendly and responsive interfaces for mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications. Integrate with APIs and third-party services to enhance platform functionality. Implement robust unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure using AWS/GCP, with a focus on scalability and cost-efficiency. Oversee DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). Provide technical guidance on best practices for JavaScript, TypeScript, and mobile app development. Ensure high performance, security, and responsiveness across devices and platforms. Participate in code reviews and foster a collaborative engineering culture. Qualifications: 8+ years of experience as a full-stack or generalist software engineer. Expertise in Ionic, Capacitor, Angular, and React Native for mobile and web app development. Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js. Strong experience with MongoDB or Progress for database management. Proven ability to develop and manage microservices on cloud platforms like AWS or GCP. Hands-on experience with mobile app development for both iOS and Android. Solid understanding of unit testing and test-driven development. Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps practices. Passion for solving complex problems and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment and take ownership of engineering challenges.
