Job Overview The Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead position is responsible for the technical vision, architecture and execution of all technical development. You have a demonstrated ability to build and lead teams. You will determine required technology solutions and lead efforts to develop or source tools to meet the needs of the business. You are used to working with diverse development teams and are a great communicator. You thrive in collaborative environments. Key Responsibilities: Identifying technical solutions and infrastructure to meet the needs of the business and our portfolio companies. Developing and maintaining the systems architecture necessary to deliver on the requirements of the company and our partners. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to the platform and proposing solutions to be implemented. Ensure the technology resources meet the company’s short and long-term goal. Manage IT resources with strategic evaluation, development, deployment plans and timelines. Participating in code reviews and troubleshooting software bugs and other technical issues. Ensure all activities are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. 5+ years of prior technology leadership experience as a Director or Senior leadership for software development required. 2+ years leading engineering teams Prior work experience related to the fintech industry or payments space is preferred. Frontend: Vue.js/Nuxt.js, CSS/JSS, Webpack, Tailwind. Backend: API, RESTful services, Node.js, AWS-SDK, MongoDB, Docker. Worked in an agile environment , best practices in Git Flow, and (CICD) Continuous Integration / Delivery. Participation in all software development life cycles: architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance. Experience with AWS cloud services Libraries/Frameworks: Front End Technology Nuxt.js and or a good understanding of SSR. ( server side rendering ) Tailwind.css, Postcss, Webpack 5.0 working with HRM technology for vue hot reloading. Back End Technology Node.js utilizing express middleware. Restful conventions following CRUD conventions. Experience with postman is preferred. Understanding for ES6+ features. Experience with promises and async/await are a must. async.io would be a plus NoSQL with MongoDB clusters. A good understanding of replica sets, transactions, and the mongoose wrapper API. Working with MongoDB Atlas platform ( nice to know ). Basic understanding of SQL and its integration with Wordpress' WPDB class. Proficient in PHP, specifically working within the Wordpress framework. AWS-SDK CLI working with S3 and SES specifically. Familiar with docker containerization technology. The following packages are a must: axios, jspdf, knex, mongoose, moment, moment-timezones, nodemailer. Ops/IT Experience AWS certified developer certificate, or at least a strong understanding of the following services: EC2, SG, ALB, Route53, RDS, CodePipeline, CodeStar, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, IAM User Roles and Policy management, VPC, S3, SES, ACM. Proficient with bash shell scripting for CICD scripts when building / deploying Node applications. Git version control working with bitbucket and bitbucket pipelines. Submodules is a must. Nice to haves Atlassian JIRA project management working with kanban boards. Payments/Fraud exprience.
