Core Duties: Reporting to the VP, Engineering Quality as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation, you will be responsible for helping to produce a high-quality product for our users. Working closely with the Quality Assurance Team, you will implement and maintain a high level of quality in the QA automation scripts, processes and manual test cases that will help to ensure a high level of software quality and deliver an excellent client experience in order to support Patra's objective to become a leading technology company within the insurance industry. Test sprint tasks based on Acceptance criteria. Use product understanding to understand, identify and test potential impact of code changes on other parts of the system. Create manual test cases for full coverage of product functionality Other Quality Assurance tasks as required. Leads Others Actively share knowledge and experience through mentoring, code reviews, and documentation of technical and thought leadership in internal facing activities. Confidence in being the single QA within an Agile software development team. Accountable Review acceptance criteria for each task and interact with product owner in order to make the criteria comprehensive and clear. Find defects before they reach the production server. Team Player Participate in sprint meetings such as sprint planning, retrospectives, demos and standups. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with Patra colleagues and clients and with external organizations. Experience 5+ years of experience in web application QA Java. Experience using Code versioning software. Experience with automated testing using tools such as Selenium and Cucumber. Experience using defect tracking software such as JIRA. Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail. Working Conditions Work from home Minimum internet speed of 6 mbps download and 3 mbps upload; Directly connected into modem; No satellite.
