Job Title: Senior Specialist, Software Engineer (System Integrator) Job ID: 20516 Job Location: Greenville, TX Job Schedule: 9/80; Every other Friday off Job Description: L3Harris is seeking a Software Engineering / System Integrator to support Mission System integration and support in secure DoD an DCSA accredited environments. The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining mission system environments with a mix of OS and hosting solutions. Integration of the mission systems will include the install and configuration of the Operating Systems and Mission software, Infrastructure services, and Cyber Security hardening. A solid understanding of Linux and Windows administration is required. A candidate must be a self-starter, be able to work independently, work effectively in a diverse technical team, and could take ownership of issues through resolution. Essential Functions: Linux and Windows systems deployment, upgrades, configuration management, patching and maintenance Familiar with Linux and Windows systems security standards (RMF, CMMC, DFARS, NISPOM) Installation and hardening of software systems and networks Routine monitoring and inspection of secured systems Backup and recovery within a Linux or Windows based system of backup technologies On site (not fully remote) position Hardware lifecycle management, including evaluating new hardware needs and making purchase recommendations Coach, mentor and train new team members Assist leadership with business decisions demonstrating and safeguarding the company by assuring that applicable laws and policies are followed Responsible for dissecting customer contracts into a detailed and actionable backlog of tasks, ensuring clear team objectives and deliverables for successful project execution Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
