The Senior Technical Consultant is responsible for the analysis, design, development and deployment of application functionality for client projects in the health, human and social services domain. A Senior Technical Consultant works under the guidance of the Development Lead on design, development and implementation issues. A Senior Technical Consultant will be client facing, acting as a technology expert for software implementation projects and engagements.
Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of the functional requirements for the client project and how these map to the client’s needs as it pertains to the Merative Cúram SPM software
Architecting, designing and developing client solutions and implementation for the Merative Cúram SPM application technology and framework for Diona clients
Work with the Technical Architects to implement the optimum client solution with the chosen COTS platform, Merative Cúram SPM software
Develop an understanding and assist in the implementation and deployment of Diona mobility solutions deployed either in conjunction with or independently of the Merative Cúram SPM application
Provide clients’ specialized technical expertise and guidance in the implementation and customization of the Merative Cúram SPM software suite
Produce technical design deliverables for the Merative Cúram SPM software application based upon business requirements
Produce technical documentation describing the implementation and usage of Merative Cúram SPM software to meet client needs
Writing and executing test scripts to validate implementation and configuration against business requirements pertaining to the Merative Cúram SPM software application
Work within the project team to ensure that the project technical standards are properly applied to the Merative Cúram SPM software application
Work as part of a team to implement client business requirements in a timely, performance-centric and configurable and maintainable manner
Assist the Project Manager in project estimation and planning
Liaise with team members and COTS vendors to ensure a quality project deliverable
Apply problem solving techniques and product capability knowledge to ensure best results for the client engagement
Prepare and deliver domain best practice and product capability presentations
Skills and Attributes:
Expert knowledge in Java which should include 5 + years of experience in software design and development utilizing Java
Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
Knowledge of XML, JSON and HTML
Experience working with Agile, JEE and associated technologies
Knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
In-depth understanding of the SDLC, including analysis, design, testing and quality assurance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have Skills and Attributes (in priority order):
Experience in the health and human services domain and COTS implementations
Experience with integration technologies such as SOAP and REST web services
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as NodeJS, ReactJS, Angular
Experience with MongoDB or any NoSQL database
Experience with Android or iOS mobile app development
Educational qualification:
Computer Science degree or equivalent from recognized institutes
Location(s) – Ottawa, Canada; Toronto, Canada; applicants should reside in one of these two locations.
This is a remote work role. Training will take place in-person in Toronto, Canada, during the first month of employment. Though this role is considered remote for work, there would be an expectation that one could travel to an occasional client meeting or work meeting in Toronto or Ottowa, if needed, and also be able to attend the in-person training the first month of employment. It is anticipated at present time that those hired for this role would begin work in the early part of January 2025.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
