The Roles:
Principal Water Process Engineer:
Lead the delivery of cutting-edge water and wastewater treatment solutions. This role involves strategic oversight, technical leadership, and mentoring a multidisciplinary team. You’ll drive projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring that designs meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and efficiency.
Principal Mechanical Engineer – Water & Wastewater:
Take charge of mechanical engineering design for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. Oversee project deliverables, manage mechanical procurement packages, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You’ll also lead a team of engineers, engage in hands-on design, and ensure that environmental policies are integrated into all aspects of the project.
Principal Stormwater Engineer:
Lead complex stormwater designs in a multidisciplinary environment, making a positive impact on infrastructure and development projects across New Zealand. Your role will involve strategy, planning, design, and innovation for stormwater projects, with a focus on climate change mitigation, nature-based solutions, and water-sensitive urban design. You’ll also contribute to a global Stormwater Academy initiative and mentor junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Guide the development and implementation of innovative water, wastewater, and stormwater solutions.
Design Excellence: Lead the design of mechanical systems, water treatment processes, and stormwater management strategies.
Project Management: Ensure successful project delivery from concept to commissioning, meeting budget, timeline, and quality objectives.
Client Relationships: Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction at every stage of the project.
Team Mentorship: Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering continuous learning and professional development.
Innovation & Growth: Stay at the forefront of industry advancements, adopting new methodologies and practices across all engineering disciplines.
Collaboration: Work closely with design departments and project managers, presenting technical data clearly to clients and colleagues.
Site Supervision: Oversee construction works, ensuring compliance with designs, specifications, and industry standards.
Ideal Candidates:
Water Process Engineer: 10+ years of experience in water and wastewater treatment design with expertise in membrane processes.
Mechanical Engineer: 10+ years of experience in civil water and wastewater infrastructure, with strong mechanical design skills.
Stormwater Engineer: Extensive experience in stormwater design with expertise in stormwater management software and project leadership.
