POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of custom applications on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving best practices, optimizing platform capabilities, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet our clients needs and align with Inadev s strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Joining a supportive team of talented professionals dedicated to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, you will build and deliver cutting-edge ServiceNow implementations and custom solutions for our federal clients. As Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will apply your proven skills and experiences to:

  • Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications using client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Build workflows, forms, scripts, and integrations that optimize performance and user experience.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and propose scalable, cost-effective, and innovative solutions.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and guide the implementation process.
  • Perform advanced ServiceNow configuration and administration, ensuring platform stability, security, and performance.
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot application components to maintain high availability and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems or APIs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems through robust integration strategies.
  • Enforce coding standards, design principles, and ServiceNow platform best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers on the team.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuously engage with and work closely with project managers and team leaders to estimate effort, define milestones, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Stay current on new ServiceNow features, enhancements, and releases.
  • Proactively contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions, technical documentation, and training initiatives.

NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be located in the Mid-Atlantic Region to attend onsite onboarding (NOAA HQ in Silver Spring, MD) and collect equipment/credentials.
  • & client locations in the Northern Virginia/DC/MD area as required.
  • Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 5+ years of progressive experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, with a strong emphasis on custom application development.
  • ServiceNow Certifications as Certified Application Developer
  • Advanced skills in ServiceNow development components including UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, and APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript is essential; familiarity with AngularJS, React, or other front-end frameworks is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience working with Web Services (REST, SOAP) and integrations between ServiceNow and external systems.
  • In-depth understanding of ServiceNow data models, CMDB, Service Catalog, Workflows, and Orchestration.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated strong ability to analyze complex business requirements, identify potential technical solutions, and deliver high-impact outcomes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve platform or application issues.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • ServiceNow Certifications such as Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS - relevant modules), or Certified System Administrator.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices; ITIL certification is a plus.
  • Experience with other enterprise platforms or integration tools.
  • Experience with ServiceNow mobile application development.
