Backend Programmer with Unity - Building Games and Simulators

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Historical Conquest is an educational materials company, providing software spanning from educational games to online history curriculum. This initial job is funded through a government grant, to span a 4 years contract, with continual work afterwards. We're a small, dynamic company, in the startup phase, creating games and curriculum materials for the educational market. Our team members are scattered throughout the U.S., collaborating remotely. You would be part of a small development team working on this new software.
ARE YOU: A flexible and creative programmer, with skills in Unity and multiple of gaming languages from PHP to C#, who is good at communication and documentation? (You get bonus points for proficiency in 3D modeling/animation). A bachelor's degree in computer programming, or equivalent experience, is preferred. We would like to see samples of projects or code that you're particularly proud of.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Here are the main responsibilities of this position:
Initially, working with a small team of programmers to create software that has been commissioned by the U.S. Government (mainly the Department of Education and the Institute for Education Sciences).
You will be given certain aspects of this program to fulfill.
You will be in charge of the team of Backend programmers from a third party company and help them implement the design and development of the simulator's engine software.
Meet with the programming team weekly, if not more frequently, depending on need; and meet with the entire HC team in different intervals.
Work well as a team, to collaborate throughout the entire process.
Document all your work and provide it in a Google Drive for the company. Track all your hours.

PROGRAMMING PLAN: This is what the future of our software company looks like. We are building an event simulator for nearly every event, both for peace and war times. Youth in K-12 will be able to explore and learn in this simulator and you will be there to help us design, develop, and advance this program.
PAY: Here is how we pay:
Your base hourly rate will be discussed, if we find you are a viable candidate. We also have options to work salary with holidays and time off.
All employees that work for us for a year will receive partial ownership in the company; each additional year, your ownership will increase.

Skill Requirements:
Lead analysis, design, build, test, triage, and deployment of a gaming simulator engine, proficient at (C++, C#, and other languages) and using Unity Engines
Experience supporting analytical feedback
Collaborate with cross partners (third-party companies and co-workers) on activities associated with this simulator we will be building from scratch
Validate application requirements meet overall business process needs to create a high-level design of an end-to-end integration solution for mapping data between applications
Ensure architecture and solution integration components are utilized appropriately
Develop and connect 3D models to the simulator through a 3D model library catalog.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, etc., or equivalent work experience
4+ years experience in development and integration of wartime game simulators
2+ years use of Unity Game Engine
Developed/designed/tested on at least wartime simulators
Knowledge of data collection and reporting
