Job Responsibilities 1. Mosque Annual Action Plan - Assist in planning, budgeting, implementation and reviewing of Annual Action Plan for the unit - Coordinate family development/social development programmes approved by the Board. - Report to the Board on these programmes 2) Application for Zakat/ other Assistance - Conduct the daily walk-in interviews for zakat assistance. - Make & submit appropriate recommendations for new walk-in & review cases to Muis and/or other agencies by end of month. - Manage mosque’s fidyah disbursement on quarterly basis to deserving poor & needy families. - Develop and implement the Individual Client Plan (ICP) for the needy families, based on feedback by befrienders. - Attend monthly SDO meetings and/or case conferences within the cluster (initiated by Muis’ MO team). - Supporting role for Cluster-based programmes for poor and needy families. - Liaise with relevant external organisations regarding welfare of low-income families (cluster-based) 3) Befrienders’ Management - Monitor Befrienders home visits (intake assessment/ follow-ups). - New in-take for Befrienders. - Collate and submit claims for befrienders’ allowance to Muis MO team. Supporting Roles 1) Volunteers/Donors Management (Ambassador) - Develop & maintain volunteer & donor management system - Run mosque volunteers and donors recruitment drive - Engage and inspire mosque volunteers and donors 2) Community Engagement - Assist on Mosque Islamic Events, sending invites to neighbouring on the event calendar. - Home Visit to Jemaah in Hospital or Home - Empowered Volunteers on Mosque Events 3) Perform any duty assigned by HOD Requirements Minimum Diploma in Social Services or related At least 1 year of relevant work experience Effectively bilingual in Malay and English Proficient in Microsoft Office Dedicated and responsible in working with the needy and their family members Possess good interpersonal and communication skills Able to do planning and implement programmes Able to work during weeknights, weekends or Public Holidays when required
