We are looking for a skilled contractor to join our client's SQL performance team, specializing in both on-prem and AzureSQL environments. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that their software delivers optimal performance and remains competitive in today s fast-paced market. Job responsibilities:

• Develop and execute performance tools and scripts.
• Collect and report the performance data to the performance team and other stakeholders.
• Analyze automated performance tool results and report results to the performance team.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with physical computer technologies and configuration as well as cloud-based technologies.
• Knowledge in data structures and understanding what makes a program optimal and performance oriented.
• Familiarity with databases and structured query language (SQL), tables, indexes, kinds of logic, locks and spinlocks.
• Some experience with hardware and processors for low level testing and benchmarking for machines.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle preferred.
• Strong understanding of coding logic.
• Comfortability with writing in at least one of the following coding languages: C#, Bash, C, C++, PowerShell, Python etc required.
• Great investigative, problem solving, communication, and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to use, at a basic level, word processing and spreadsheet app is required.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:

• SQL proficiency knowledgeable about basic server and database interactions. 2+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of coding logic - comfortable writing in at least one of the following: C#, Bash, C, C++, PowerShell, Python, etc | 2+ years of experience.
• Basic understanding of the different components that make up a computer and how those components interact.
