Job Overview As a Software Developer on the R&D team, you will help pioneer innovative solutions in AI, ML (Machine Learning), and cybersecurity. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, refine emerging technologies, and ensure alignment with project requirements to safeguard critical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Code Development and Program Support The number one responsibility is writing and developing strong code based upon the needs of our product(s). Initially, the focus will be 55% on back-end development and 35% on front-end development. Over time, this will shift to more front-end responsibilities, to include creating user-friendly interfaces for both technical and non-technical users. Collaborate closely with the research and development team to transform ideas and concepts into functional products. Research and Development Help drive innovation by creating, refining, and aligning new technologies with evolving project needs, leveraging AI/ML and IoT systems to enhance existing offerings. Process Improvement and Innovation Streamline development processes, adopt best practices, and evaluate new tools or methodologies to improve efficiency and maintain high-quality standards. Continuous Learning and Skill Enhancement Stay current with emerging AI/ML and cybersecurity technologies is expected as well as sharing this knowledge to promote a culture of ongoing improvement. Qualifications 3+ years of software development experience in JavaScript and Python. 2+ years working in Node.js with hands-on experience in Svelte (preferred) and/or React Proven background and foundational knowledge in AI/ML algorithms and classification techniques using Python’s (Scikit-Learn), linking front-end interfaces with back-end AI/ML pipelines for real-time data processing. Basic understanding of data science principles, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and creating visualizations to prepare datasets for machine learning model training. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering robust and scalable solutions. Ability to design and implement user-friendly and visually appealing graphical user interfaces (GUIs) that cater to both technical and non-technical users. Active DoD Secret Clearance preferred.
