Summary: Software Developer PGT Solutions is a government prime contractor focused on the Healthcare IT segment and following a contracts-driven business model. We are in partnership with Amida Technology Solutions, and together we are providing Digital Health services to the Department of Veterans Affairs. Amida is a DC-based technology company focused on solutions for data interoperability, data utility, and data security. We create open-source solutions that collect, reconcile, transform, and standardize data for business intelligence, predictive analytics, decision support, and user transactions. PGT is currently looking for a mid-level (~4 years) Software Developer to join our team, on behalf of Amida. This opportunity is either hybrid or remote. In this role, you will create software as part of a team to solve problems for our customers. The Software Developer's responsibilities include software design, writing efficient and well-formed code, performing testing, troubleshooting and debugging existing software, and deploying code. The team will work within an Agile environment, so the software developer will need to estimate story points, update status regularly, and participate in stand-ups. Required Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, MIS or a related technical field or equivalent work experience At least 5 years of software engineering and development experience including: Front-end development in JavaScript, preferably using React JS Back-end development experience including Python and Node.JS or Java, preferably using Node.JS Prior experience using Git/GitHub, preferably contributing to open-source projects Prior experience in a dynamic Agile development environment using Jira 4+ years experiences with the following technologies and/or Processes: PostgreSQL, Open API ORMs, preferably Drizzle · Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance: Green Card or Citizenship required Preferred Skills: Working with cloud services such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Experience in the healthcare industry Experience in the development of data transformation and validation systems Experience with government development and procedures, specifically the Department of Veterans Affairs Experiences with the following technologies and/or Processes: Public Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ) Login.gov Lighthouse Join us in transforming healthcare through data science!
