We are looking for an experienced, full-stack Software Development Manager to lead multiple customer projects. This role will be a thought leader that leads by example, welcoming to be hands-on while enjoying the technical challenges from the fast-paced project timelines, aiming to deliver our greatness to customers for their (and their passengers’) satisfaction. The successful candidate will have deep technical expertise across the stack, draw confidence from their abilities, and have proven success designing scalable web platforms. You will have strong leadership skills that bring people to your vision and direction, driving towards successful software delivery. Who You Are 10+ years of software development experience in any (or all) of Java or JavaScript. 4+ years of proven success leading and mentoring an engineering team preferably in a tech startup environment utilizing Agile practices and tools e.g., Jira Demonstrable experience working with product and business stakeholders to deliver solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and a considerate and compassionate attitude Willingness to perform hands-on coding and development Strong experience with Java EE with Spring Framework (Spring MVC) Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, preferably with React and Redux Professional understanding and experience with both RESTful and SOAP web services Thorough understanding of cybersecurity and computer networks Familiarity with enterprise-level build and packaging environment, such as Maven, Jenkins, Hudson, etc. Enforce development process adherence and improvement (identifying areas of improvement and suggesting alternatives) Experience designing or working on event-driven architectures Lead in areas of solution design, architecture, technical design, data modeling, code reviews, best practices, and procedures Manage and prioritize conflicting requests and balance concurrent projects Act as an escalation contact for critical customer support requests Hiring and onboarding of new team members, conducting formal and informal one-on-ones, setting goals, and performing performance reviews BONUS, if you also are… Working knowledge of the AWS ecosystem Serverless architecture CI/CD tools and managing pipelines Other- Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform, Python, Tailwind CSS Any working experiences with IATA’s CUSS (Common-Use Self-Service) Specification, or with Airport/Airline industry is a big plus!
