About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to support the OnTRAC and Connexion programs, for some of the world’s leading automotive brands.
You will enable global automotive manufacturers to harness data insights and improve asset utilisation amongst their dealer and customer bases, including their exciting EV line-ups.
As a Software Engineer at Connexion, you will engineer solutions from first principles to meet the highest reliability, performance, and user experience standards. You will collaborate with various teams to design, develop, and maintain our products.
The role is Melbourne-based, with a flexible working-from-home policy.
What you will be doing:
Collaborate with the Lead Engineer on product requirements, UX/UI design, software architecture to ensure alignment with the company's strategic vision.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency across projects.
Participate in knowledge sharing sessions such as brown bag sessions, mentorship, etc. to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Design, build, test, ship, and own high-quality solutions, ensuring their performance, stability, scalability, and maintainability.
Maintain accurate documentation of all work activities, including system designs, code changes and technical decisions, for compliance and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Customer Support, and Product Management.
Proactively stay ahead of emerging technologies, industry trends, and software engineering best practices, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in our products and development processes.
You are someone with:
Proficiency in key AWS services such as IAM, Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EventBridge, Glue, and Athena.
Hands-on experience with Node.js and/or Python for building scalable back-end solutions.
Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Desirable:
AWS-certified is highly regarded.
Experience with AWS QuickSight API for visualisation automation.
Experience with real-time data streaming technologies like AWS Kinesis, Data Firehose, or Kafka.
Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
