Overview: Trissential is seeking a Software Engineer with a focus on Java to join our client team remotely in Rochester, MN. In this role, you’ll leverage your Java expertise to design and build critical back-end services that power data-centric clinical and analytic applications, directly enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and support of back-end services for data-centric, cloud-based applications Collaborate closely with team leads, product owners, and architects to deliver effective, reliable software solutions Build services across data warehousing, big data, and analytics, ensuring each application meets resilience, scalability, and uptime requirements Participate actively in DevOps practices, supporting continuous development and integration within Agile frameworks Contribute to and document key processes, source code, and troubleshooting, facilitating smooth knowledge sharing Engage in cross-functional problem-solving, applying analytical skills to uncover root causes and optimize processes Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience in software development using Java, Spring Framework, HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery Strong experience with relational databases (SQL, preferably Oracle) Familiarity with REST API integration, ideally using the Apigee platform Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing Essential skills: Expertise in Java, JavaScript, SQL Proficiency in REST API development and integration Knowledge of deployment automation and configuration management tools, such as ADO, Puppet, Chef, and Terraform Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an emphasis on collaboration and time management Desired skills: Experience in Agile Scrum processes Familiarity with Microsoft ADO and build pipeline processes Exposure to Google BigQuery, Google Cloud, or Azure environments Experience: Background in developing high-performance, scalable distributed systems Experience in the healthcare or related industry (preferred) Knowledge of business intelligence and big data systems Benefits: Trissential offers a competitive compensation package for full time roles. The hourly pay range for this role is $65 to $69 depending on candidate's qualifications and experience.
