As a Security Software Engineer Consultant, you will join our network and work in defence sector R&D projects in the industry, and help you deliver impact for a safer tomorrow. You will bring a strong expertise in software development, security-critical product design, and a robust understanding of secure systems. The ideal consultant will bring experience in building secure, high-performing solutions tailored to the defense industry's stringent requirements.


Your presence can be in Northern Europe (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark), the United Kingdom, or Germany and you are eligible to pass security clearance before starting on a project.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance secure software solutions tailored for the defense sector.
  • Identify and mitigate software vulnerabilities and weaknesses to ensure cybersecurity robustness.
  • Analyze requirements and evaluate trade-offs in scope, cost, and schedule to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Write, debug, and unit-test software components; integrate modules into complete, functioning systems.


Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in developing solutions for the defense sector or a deep understanding of security-critical products.
  • strong background in either system/embedded engineering or software development, with a focus on security-driven design and implementation.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Linux environments, virtualization, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.


Additional Requirements:

  • Security certifications or training (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, design patterns, and frameworks to streamline development processes.
