About the Role: As a .NET Software Engineer for Byte Software you will produce and test code in an agile / scrum development environment. The position is responsible for delivery of bug-free products to QA. This is a remote position that must be performed at all times within the United States. This role may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management. What You’ll Do: Job responsibilities may vary based on project, and may consist of: Migrate existing functionality from a WinForms application to an ASP.NET MVC application Write ASP.NET MVC and JavaScript code Write Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures Perform code reviews Diagnose and fix software issues Deliver well-documented and bug-free code to QA Work with external partners Handle escalations from QA Other duties as assigned What You’ll Need: High school diploma or equivalent Strong analytical and coding skills Obsessive attention to detail Top notch troubleshooting skills Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft ASP.NET MVC, VB.NET, JavaScript, XML, HTML, and IIS Knowledge of networking Ability to estimate projects and complete them on time Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects What Can Set You Apart: 3+ years of software development experience and/or college degree preferred Benefits We Offer: Byte Software offers comprehensive healthcare benefits to eligible employees including: medical, HSA, prescription, vision, dental.
