Designs, codes, tests and debugs applications and components that meet all technical specifications and business requirements per assigned work items
Work closely with lead engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development
Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
Translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions
Operational Excellence build, deploy, monitor, and operation of production services
Mentors other software engineers
Provide or participate technical assistance in occasional on-call rotation after hours support and work with the team to troubleshoot and investigate system defects
E2E ownership from intake and refinement to deployment of production applications as well as monitoring and support
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or related field and/or relevant experience will be considered
5+ years of experience in Cognizant Facets and dental claims management
5+ years of experience with EDI 837D format standard
5+ years of experience in full stack role with .NET Core or similar object-oriented programming language and Angular, Single SPA, or other TypeScript frameworks / libraries and micro frontends
5+ years of experience building cloud-native applications in Azure or similar cloud service provider including Azure cloud constructs like Blobs, Service Bus, Vault, Entra ID, Functions as well as Azure DevOps (ADO) environment, application containerization, deployment, and orchestration
5+ years of experience with CI/CD and test automation (Playwright, Cucumber, JMeter)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Domain Driven Design
Experience with Event Driven Architecture
Experience with Helm, Terraform, Flux, and other infrastructure as code supporting technologies and GitOps principles.
Experience with ETL and data formats e.g. JSON, XML.
Basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot applications running within Kubernetes.
Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and automated provisioning & configuration management.
Basic understanding of HIPAA, PHI, PII
Basic understanding of networking and internet protocols.
Basic understanding of logging, monitoring, and observability tools e.g. Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, App Insights.
Basic understanding of ServiceNow incident management intake flow
Knowledge of Encryption, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), understanding of OWASP
