What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain core backend systems and APIs for our debt management platform Work closely with product managers, data engineers, and compliance teams to deliver features that are performant, secure, and compliant Use AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, generate boilerplate code, improve documentation, and accelerate testing Develop and evolve data models in a document database environment (MongoDB) Contribute to our CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure, ensuring reliable, repeatable deployments Collaborate on system architecture and internal tooling to make the team more efficient Review and debug code with a focus on maintainability, performance, and security How You’ll Use AI Code generation: Use AI to bootstrap boilerplate services, generate test cases, and write utility functions faster Dev tooling: Streamline local setup, deployments, and environment config with AI-assisted scripting Debugging: Accelerate issue resolution by using AI to isolate problems or suggest fixes Documentation: Use LLMs to document APIs, workflows, and architectural decisions as you go Cross-team collaboration: Translate technical needs and implementations into clear, accessible updates using AI summarization tools ✅ You Might Be a Fit If You… Have experience building backend applications using Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript) Have worked with document databases like MongoDB Are familiar with AWS services and infrastructure management Know your way around Git and CI/CD tooling like Bitbucket Pipelines Take pride in writing clean, scalable, testable code—and improving the systems around your code Think like a builder and problem-solver, not just a ticket closer Use AI to make yourself (and your team) faster and better—not just because it’s trendy Thrive in high-autonomy environments with ambitious goals and fast iteration cycles Logistics Level: Mid-level to Senior Location: Fully remote (U.S. time zones preferred) Stack: Node.js, MongoDB, AWS, Bitbucket Pipelines, TypeScript Culture: Ambitious, consumer-focused, AI-native, and biased toward action We’re building something that hasn’t been done before.
