Role: Software Engineering Senior Supervisor (Azure) Location: Chicago, IL (Remote) Only US Citizen Job Description: Responsibilities Senior Azure Software Lead engineer will lead programs, manage on boarding client interaction, and make strategic decisions that support organizational goals. Lead a team of software engineers and provide technical and strategic leadership Connect product design and development with operations and production to ensure successful product launches and deployment. Take responsibility for designing and developing an organization's infrastructure, using automation to reduce risk, and maintaining it. Must be proficient in technical assessments, deployment, and monitoring to improve system dependability and scalability, planning for disaster recovery situations for business continuity while minimizing disruption. Contribute to development of cutting-edge software solutions that address critical challenges in energy, safety, security, air travel, productivity, and global urbanization. Stay current with industry trends and best practices, identifying automation, design development, and other solutions to improve operational efficiency. Collaborate effectively with development, operations, and security teams, with strong communication skills to drive DevOps culture. Support back end activities with infrastructure, databases set ups, monitoring performances. Skills The Azure Software Lead engineer must have following skills: Designing cloud solutions, selecting appropriate Azure services, and optimizing resource utilization for high availability and performance Proficiency in Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, networking, and databases Ability to lead Software development team and manage external partners and customer base. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep for automating infrastructure deployment, version control using Git, for managing and tracking code changes. Understanding security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), Azure Policy, and managing secrets with tools like Azure Key Vault. Identifying bottlenecks, optimizing application performance, and scaling resources dynamically. Qualifications A strong background in software development or IT operations and expertise in Azure cloud services are essential. Program management and team management is critical skill.
