Position : Sr. Search Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 6-12 Months (CTH)
Pay Rate: $75/hr. W2 ONLY
Work Mode : Remote or On-site
Responsibilities:

• Partner with product management, content, data science, and senior technology leaders to drive impactful and innovative changes efficiently.
• Inspire and guide team members to elevate their performance and embrace new ideas.
• Collaborate with a team of software engineers to enhance enterprise search capabilities, including AI/Client technologies, visual search algorithms, computer vision models, and advanced ranking techniques at scale.

Qualifications:

• Over 5 years of experience with C# or Java and a robust understanding of object-oriented design and development.
• At least 3 years of experience with REST APIs.
• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with messaging services such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Practical knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS and Azure.
• Over 3 years of experience with search technologies (e.g., Solr, Lucene, ElasticCache).
• Experience with forking, customizing, and contributing to open-source projects is advantageous.
• Proven ability to build and optimize high-performance distributed systems.
• Demonstrated experience in addressing complex problem statements and developing effective solutions.
• Strong background in system design, with expertise in creating scalable and efficient systems for current and future requirements.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python.
• Knowledgeable in search algorithms, computer vision, and natural language processing.
• Familiar with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Experienced with cloud-based technology and paradigms .
