Under general supervision, the Software Engineer II formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding, documentation, coding, and testing required to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. This position is tasked with building modern software to connect people with the transportation and moving industries through technology.
This position is remote. To qualify for this role with UniGroup, you must live in one of the following states: Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Texas, Florida, or Indiana.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identifies, analyzes, and documents business/technical requirements and systems specifications.
Creates and performs software coding.
Creates and enforces software quality standards.
Implements/deploys information systems.
Evaluates vendor-supplied applications and deploys/integrates vendor-supplied software.
Generates suggestions for process/product improvement.
Communicates status of assigned work to management and follows practices and procedures covered by precedents, standards, or policies.
Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education, License or Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in IS Development

Technology: Proficient in using multiple software programs and web-based applications such as e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite products, internet browsers, etc.
