You will join a proactive team of 5 engineers to reimagine new experiences and create new services to manage update and approval requests, as well as other prompts to action. This is an opportunity to help innovate how requests are centralized and managed at enterprise scale in a distributed architecture with new, green field projects and new user experiences. You will report to our Manager, Engineering located in our Bellevue, WA office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer. You Will: Build reliable, scalable, and performant back-end services for the next generation of applications at Smartsheet (using Java, AWS, Terraform). Develop modular, maintainable front-end components for a sophisticated and unique user interface (React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS). Take part in code reviews and architectural discussions as you work with other software engineers, UX designers and product managers Participate in all phases of quality assurance and defect resolution with a focus on test automation and code coverage. You Have: 3+ years software development experience building highly scalable, highly available applications 3+ years of programming experience with full stack technologies such Java, Kotlin or TypeScript 1+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) Experience developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis Get to Know Us: At Smartsheet, we've created a place where everyone is welcome — people from all over the world, all backgrounds, all ages, all colors, and all beliefs working side by side.
