About the Role: Our client is looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join the Mission Management team, developing software applications that manage resources, security, health monitoring, and status awareness within a signal processing platform for the Department of Defense. This position supports the U.S. Navy’s Spectral Program, a seven-year initiative delivering advanced signals intelligence and electronic warfare technologies essential for facing cyber and electronic threats. Key Responsibilities: Develop & Deploy: Design, develop, and deploy core technologies for Spectral's cloud-enabled combat systems, creating scalable, modular software architectures. Innovate Solutions: Solve operational challenges by delivering high-performance, low-latency applications in production environments. Collaborate: Partner with senior engineers to meet system requirements, contribute to solution design, and ensure high-quality, maintainable code. Optimize & Review: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications, performing code reviews to uphold adherence to program standards. Your Daily Impact: Develop, test, and maintain software applications based on Spectral requirements. Build clean, efficient, and maintainable code using relevant programming languages and frameworks. Collaborate on Agile development cycles, contributing to the continuous improvement of mission management and support services. Deploy applications integrated with CI/CD for seamless operations across distributed environments. Basic Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Experience: 3-5 years in software development. Technical Skills: Proficient in programming languages like Python or Java. Experience with front-end and back-end technologies (React, Node.js, Django). Familiarity with API development and RESTful services. Strong understanding of version control systems (Git) and collaborative practices. Security Clearance: Active or eligible for Top Secret/SCI DoD Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure). Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker). Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
