TensorIoT is looking to hire a Front End Design Practice Manager to manage a team of Front End Developers.
Responsibilities include ensuring the team deliver designs from client requirements, leveraging AWS to provide unique features and functionality, and ensuring the team delivers quality code that will produce consumable visual elements. The ideal candidate will have outstanding technical fundamentals with a focus on delivering aesthetically pleasing interactions from the ground up. Some travel may be required to meet with clients.
Responsibilities:
Creating well-designed, documented, and tested front end solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React and Redux, CSS-in-JS, Styled Components, etc.
Collaborating with clients, project managers, UX and other developers to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements within agreed-upon scope and architecture designs
Translating wireframes into fully functional user interfaces and proactively addressing edge case scenarios
Collaborating with back end developers to design REST APIs and request/response schemas
Performing code reviews with constructive feedback and providing technical mentorship
Promoting clean code, best practices, and consistent design patterns across the team
Writing infrastructure as code and automated deployment scripts for customer delivery
Providing development estimates from granular tasks to comprehensive projects/applications
Leading and presenting technical discussions to clients, including knowledge transfers
Required:
3+ years of experience managing software development teams.
5+ years of industry experience building performant, scalable and responsive web applications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
Expert working knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+)
Experience with AWS Cloud
Experience with React, Redux and middleware such as Sagas, Observables, Thunk, etc.
Full-stack experience with Python, NodeJS and NoSQL
Extensive TypeScript experience
Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTML5, CSS and other core Web technology concepts
Experience creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
Experience with unit testing and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Experience refactoring existing code in addition to architecting new solutions
Experience with Git-based workflow (feature branching, pull requests, merging, rebasing, etc.)
Extensive experience with Agile development in team settings
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Experience collaborating or consulting with clients or similar stakeholders
Preferred:
Experience developing integration and end-to-end testing of single page applications
Design experience translating requirements into visual reference tools including wireframing, prototyping, etc.
Experience with GraphQL, Relay, Apollo, RxJS, and other modern front end technologies
Experience with serverless architecture, microservices, and infrastructure as code
Experience as a lead engineer and providing technical guidance for other developers
Experience developing white label web applications
Interest in expanding team skillset and identifying new technology and AWS Services that would provide value for team to deliver or leverage
