Insight Catastrophe Managers (ICM) is looking for a quantitatively focused, highly motivated individual with insurance industry experience. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of catastrophe models and a proven ability for building and managing software installations and testing in Amazon Web Services.

Description

What you’ll be doing:
  • Develop a deeper understanding of both Moody’s RMS and Verisk catastrophe modeling software architecture and applying that knowledge to infrastructure design for various clients
  • Develop internal documentation on the installation process of the RMS and AIR catastrophe models within AWS environments
  • Assist as required with new catastrophe software model version installs and upgrades
  • Maintain high quality and detailed documentation on each client modeling environment
  • Design a maintenance QA process to ensure each modeling environment is operating properly
  • Assist with archiving client exposure and results data and transferring all files securely to clients upon request
  • Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner
We’re looking for someone who has:
  • 1-3 years of catastrophe risk software installation and implementation experience with Moody’s (RMS) and Verisk (AIR)
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organization & project management skills
  • Quantitatively focused with a basic understanding of P&C insurance concepts
  • Excellent analytical-problem-solving and project management skills
  • Works independently and meets all deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Advanced SQL, SQL Database, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and overall computer related skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Economics)
