Job DescriptionJob Description SUMMARY Seeking a hands-on Product manager who will join our SaaS Product team. As a Product Manager you will be responsible for helping drive the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for our Equinox SaaS platform. This role spans many types of activities, from strategic to tactical. A Product Manager provides cross-functional leadership and bridges organizational gaps between different functional groups, most often between engineering, marketing, sales, and support. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Create product strategy and business requirement for new features or products. Collaborating with Business Users both internal and external, Designers, Software Engineers, Quality Assurance to plan, design and implement product features. You will see product improvements all the way through the delivery process and continue to look for improvements to product features already released. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES · Responsible for product vision and continuous improvement of features and/or products · Lead and obtain strategic buy-in from internal and external stakeholders · Communicate key messages and engage with many diverse functional stakeholders through the product lifecycle · Actively seek customer and market input and data as a source of product innovation · Communicate product vision, roadmap and progress internal cross-functional stakeholders. · Work closely with functional business callers/owners to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value and priority. · Prioritize product features and requirements backlogs compromising both the business needs and technical readiness. Ability to participate in technical discussions and help make design trade-offs. · Act as the SME during initial roll-out and provide support when needed · Responsible for continuous improvement of product post-commercialization · Support functional opportunities or initiatives and dive as MVPs (Min. viable product) for a unified coherent technology and customer experience. · Work closely with scrum Master and development team for delivery. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: · Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines is preferred. Five (5) plus years of product management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Need to be able to demonstrate eCommerce experience. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment) Experience with building REST APIs Working knowledge of the MERN stack · Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks. · Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3. Experience with DynamoDB and Redis Experience with test driven development and testing tools, ie: Mocha, Chai Excellent analytical and time management skills Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience · 5 + years of experience required. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Need to be able to demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems and must be comfortable with a high level of ambiguity. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: As needed.
