About the role

As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for building and developing a comprehensive testing process for Optomed Software Oy from the ground up. The company specializes in creating critical workflow systems for hospitals, and your role will ensure the seamless integration and reliability of their large-scale applications. You will lead the testing strategy, focusing on regression and performance testing, and work to automate testing processes to support continuous integration and fast-paced releases. Collaboration with developers will be key to ensuring high-quality software delivery in a dynamic and agile environment.

In this role, you will be the dedicated test expert in the team, driving and bringing valuable structure and improvements to our testing practices. You will have the freedom to design and implement processes that enhance efficiency and quality. We are looking for someone who can introduce new ideas with a collaborative approach, helping the team evolve toward more structured testing practices. Your efforts will contribute to smoother development workflows, improved product quality, and an even better user experience of patient care with modern technology.

We are looking for

• 2+ years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing
• Experience with regression and/or performance testing
• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks
• Understanding of web and mobile application testing
• Hands-on experience with agile development and CI/CD
• Knowledge of SQL databases and ability to work with .NET/C# environments
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken)

It is meritorious if you have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Azure, and performance testing for scalability
• Experience in performance testing, especially in high-concurrency environments
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
