Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland government department to recruit a Solutions Architect contract for 6 months based at Herston and working from home.  We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join the team. The ideal candidate is adept at solving complex problems and is an excellent communicator, able to convey clear architecture advice in written and verbal form. In this role you will: Develop conceptual, logical and physical solution architectures that translate business requirements into an implementable system and solution for the PBOIU ICT Project. Identify, analyse and evaluate solution options based on elicited business requirements and preparing technical options analysis documentation and recommendations to support evidence-based decisions made by project executive. Develop target state and transition architectures to enable the administration and regulation of the Act by QPBOC. Develop technical design documents including Solution Architecture Plans, Designs, Functional/Non-Functional/Architectural requirements, Component Design Specifications, Interface Specifications and Test Plans/Scripts/Reports. Develop engagement documents and work packages for solution design, development and deployment in partnership with the client and external suppliers. Provide procurement advice and support by developing technical documentation required (including evaluation criteria) in line with Queensland Government and policies, standards, guidelines and through active participation in procurement evaluation and selection panels. Engage and lead business and technical subject matter experts. Secure intra/inter cross-enterprise approval for the recommended solution. Lead the design, development and deployment of the approved solution, providing design governance of the solution throughout the project and supporting architectural assurance and compliance. Provide architectural advice and guidance to the project across all architectural domains (Business, Information, Application, Technology, Service Management, and Information Security) to ensure all aspects of a Solution Architecture are addressed as well as support the Project Manager and the Project’s governance groups with the advice and guidance required. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary architectural approaches, methodologies and patterns and how they can be implemented for specific solutions. Communicate effectively with various business, customer and technical subject matter experts and service delivery teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions. You will have: A knowledge of one or more of the following is highly desirable: Cloud services Data integration Financial management and associated finance management systems (including receipting)  Document records management and associated records management systems Customer relationship management (CRM) and associated CRM systems Email exchange Enterprise Active Directory Data migration An awareness of IT Service Management (ITSM)  Experience with service-oriented and event-driven architectures Experience with enterprise-grade relational database management systems Experience with middleware technologies such as integration engines and enterprise service buses Experience with application integration methods including file transfer, messaging, APIs and Web services Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI Experience with exchange formats such as XML, JSON, EDI, separated variable files (comma/tab/colon/pipe/space) Experience with Enterprise Information Architecture development, Data Standards and Governance, and Enterprise Information Exchange specifications Experience with cross-enterprise Master Data, Reference Data and Metadata Management and supporting services Minimum 3 - 5 years experience as a Solutions Architect and relevant tertiary qualifications and TOGAF certification (or equivalent experience).
