Job Location: REMOTE Job type: C2C/1099/contract Job Title: Senior Java Developer (Remote) Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer with cloud expertise to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs, while also leveraging cloud technologies to build scalable solutions. You will test and evaluate new programs and collaborate closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts. Key Responsibilities: Conduct requirements analysis, high-level design, detailed design, and development of software components. Perform enhancements to existing Java/Eclipse-based user interfaces on the WebSphere platform. Work with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) to design, implement, and manage cloud-based applications. Develop and maintain batch interfaces and improve performance where necessary. Optimize software for cloud performance, ensuring scalability and reliability. Create comprehensive technical and design documentation as needed. Work with cross-functional teams and external trading partners to achieve project objectives. Identify opportunities for software performance tuning and configuration improvements, including cloud infrastructure. Provide technical support during testing, deployment, and post-production. Employ contemporary testing methods to ensure flawless application functionality. Support problem resolution and analysis for system issues. Contribute to additional tasks as assigned. Additional Qualifications: At least 14+ years of experience in Java development and experience with Eclipse and WebSphere platforms. 2+ years experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure, including cloud-based architecture and services (EC2, S3, Azure Functions, etc.). Proven track record in requirements analysis, system architecture design, and cloud-based deployments. Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in both software and cloud environments. Ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a remote setting. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams. Must be physically located in US NO OPT Must be able to provide genuine proof of 14+ years of experience Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with microservices architecture in the cloud. Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments. Strong understanding of cloud performance optimization and cost management.
