Immucor is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for our Waukesha, Wisconsin site. The Sr. Software Engineer will participate in software development for medical device applications. If you are interested in helping to save patient lives, this may be the role for you!

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities span the software development life-cycle, including requirements definition, design, construction, test, and maintenance. Conducts feasibility of proposed designs to determine their ability to function as intended. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for both internal and external customers. Operates within defined processes and procedures to identify necessary activities and determine appropriate actions. This role is essential for maintaining reliable, compliant medical device applications while meeting FDA and international regulations.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience and demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex software products. Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the requirements for years of experience.
Strong foundation in .NET development technologies and related frameworks
Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Framework
Expertise in XAML for WPF development
Proficiency in T-SQL for database development
Proven expertise in modern software architecture and design principles for enterprise applications
Understanding of MVVM pattern for WPF applications
Experience with dependency injection
Knowledge of SOLID principles and their application in .NET
Understanding of n-tier architecture patterns
Strong background in Agile development practices and modern development workflows
Direct experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar project management tools
Experience with sprint planning and estimation
Understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment practices
Deep understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and related database technologies
Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server
Experience writing complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures
Understanding of database performance optimization
Experience with Entity Framework
Proficiency with modern source control and collaborative development practices
Proficiency with version control systems
Experience with branching strategies and merge conflict resolution
Familiarity with code review processes
Experience with collaborative development using Azure DevOps
Demonstrated knowledge of application security and enterprise authentication
Knowledge of secure coding practices in .NET
Understanding of authentication and authorization patterns
Experience with Windows authentication and Active Directory
Familiarity with OWASP security principles
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to write clear technical documentation
Experience contributing to technical design documents
Capability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong collaboration skills for working in cross-functional teams
This position requires minimal travel. Expect to travel approximately 5% annually. These trips will be for attending important team meetings/events where physical presence is beneficial for collaborative work sessions, strategic planning, or team-building purposes. Occasional additional travel may be required.
