One of our companies is currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Integrations in United States.
As a Staff Software Engineer, Integrations, you will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing a scalable, reusable integration platform for the healthcare industry. You will collaborate closely with product teams, operations, and architects to design and implement high-performance integration solutions. Focusing on cost-efficiency, automation, and platform optimization, your work will directly impact the scalability of the platform while reducing manual efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced engineers who are passionate about delivering solutions that improve healthcare interoperability.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and improvement of the integrations platform, focusing on scalability, reusability, and performance
- Design and implement integration patterns and reusable components to reduce custom development efforts and streamline operations
- Optimize platform operations to minimize manual intervention from the Integration Ops team, focusing on automation and self-service capabilities
- Ensure the platform complies with healthcare security and privacy regulations (HIPAA, FHIR) while meeting business requirements
- Provide technical leadership across the development lifecycle and mentor junior engineers on platform development best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, operations, and solutions architects) to align platform components with business goals
- Continuously improve integration workflows, reduce technical debt, and leverage new technologies to maintain high system reliability
Requirements
- Minimum 9 years of experience in the software development lifecycle, including extensive experience in building scalable PaaS-based integration platforms
- Expertise in designing and developing integration platforms that handle high-volume data streams (experience with healthcare integrations such as EHRs, payors, or partner systems is highly desirable)
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, API gateways, microservices, and tools like Kafka
- Strong knowledge of Java (Spring), AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Experience with cost optimization strategies for integration platforms, including self-service tools and low-code/no-code solutions
- Solid understanding of healthcare industry standards such as HIPAA, FHIR, and HL7
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve platform issues proactively
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with different teams
