We are now looking for a

Summer Trainee, R&D Engineer, Drives / Power Electronics

to work with KONE elevator drives product development projects with positive and enthusiastic attitude towards electrical engineering and power electronics. KONE drive team innovates, designs and maintains industry-leading electrical drives, motors and brakes.

We are looking for a student with ongoing studies (2-5 year student) to work for 3-4 months between May and September 2025, based on availability and preference.

You will be part of international multi-expertise R&D drives team in KONE R&D in Hyvinkää, Finland. Work tasks will be related to testing and development of electrical drives and test systems in the laboratory environment. There are opportunities also in Drive SW and test automation development. You will contribute to something that team has ongoing at a time and tailored for your skills and interests. Remote working possibilities are limited due to the nature of the work.

In order to be successful in this role, you preferably have

• Ability to work independently and accurately with disciplined working methods.

• Knowledge and passion for electronics, power electronics or AC drives

• Hands on experience of measuring and testing of electronics is and asset

• Electronics and microcontroller related hobbies are an asset

• Working language is English, other language skills are an asset
