KTI R&D continuously seeks for engineering productivity improvements. Requirement engineering and management are among the key processes/practices that contribute on development productivity.

We are now looking for a 

Summer Trainee, Requirements Engineering

to work in requirement engineering and related process, practice and tool improvements, as a member of the global KONE Elevator R&D Team in Hyvinkää, Finland.  

We are looking for a student with ongoing studies who has already started his/her Master's studies, wishes to develop him/herself towards technical expertise and is willing to work for 2-4 months during May and September 2025, based on availability and preference. This work requires mainly being present in the office, partial remote work possibilities can be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

Key responsibilities in this job will be two-fold. First, you collaborate with experts globally to collect technical requirements, store requirements to Jama Connect tool, and facilitate requirement reviews. Second, you define and implement improvements onto our Requirements Process, Concept and tool, expose yourself on AI (Artificial Intelligence) usage in requirements engineering, in guidance of KONE experts. Working for KONE Global Technology in requirement engineering will provide you with valuable experience, knowledge and skills, that boost your professional growth for the future. 

In order to be successful in this role, you preferably have 

• Systematic working practices

• Good written and verbal skills in English  

• Interest and passion to understand technical systems  

• Open mind and willingness to learn 

• Background in electrical, mechanical or software engineering 

• Understanding / experience of requirement engineering and tools is considered a plus
