System Developer

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled System Developer to deliver end-to-end system development and maintenance on complex technology systems within a designated client group or business unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining large, complex customer technology platforms, collaborating with stakeholders to define business requirements, and identifying system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex customer technology platforms or architectures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define business requirements.
• Analyze and classify complex change requests and document system code enhancements.
• Work with the development team to define application scope and objectives, preparing functional and technical specifications.
• Code and maintain complex components of information systems.
• Mentor team members on coding standards and conduct code reviews.
• Review test cases and advise QA on adjacent code/regression impact.
• Perform system testing, fix defects, and validate results through re-executing unit tests.
• Provide on-call support, monitor systems, and identify deficiencies.
• Assist with integrating activities with other IT departments for successful project implementation.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with multi-platform, multi-database, or multi-business application environments.
• Strong experience in HP Basic, Open VMS, RMS Database, and Python.
• Experience mentoring others, leading small projects, and providing troubleshooting support.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with industry trends, products, and infrastructure.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements.
