PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meets with clients and/or managerial personnel in order to determine and define specific systems\' information requirements and objectives for laboratory systems requests.
Assists project leaders in completing evaluations on new project requests.
Determines causes of laboratory systems malfunctions and issues using appropriate analysis steps for the duties assigned.
Project Management:
Involved in laboratory projects with a focused scope and low to moderate degree of organizational scope, impact, and risk. Projects are independent or assignments from a larger project coordinated by other analysts.
Participates on project teams and completes assignments from project leaders, measures project progress, and reports the status of projects to client and project leaders.
Systems/Applications Development:
Designs and specifies laboratory systems application functionality using appropriate application tools
Assures that applications designs meet the needs across the user base of facilitiespathology.
Defines application security and control procedures, when required for assigned position.
Develops application test plans and evaluates and documents the results of testing.
Systems/Applications Implementation:
Develops plans for the implementation of laboratory systems applications and enhancements for pathology. Trains users and validates performance as needed or for updates.
Assists users in the development of procedures to use information systems within pathology.
Systems/Applications Support
May rotate on call to resolve issues for assigned information systems and applications.
Has adequate knowledge and experience to support assigned information systems and business functions for facilities pathology with proficiency and minimal assistance.
May have some advanced information systems expertise or may have a lead role in supporting a particular application or major functionality.
Teamwork I Staff Oversight
Works collaboratively with team members and customers. in pathology.
May train other team members on assigned applications or the outcomes of projects.
Personal Development
Participates in work related professional groups, information systems user groups, and special interest groups; shares knowledge gained with team members.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION DESIRED:
Experience with clinical information systems, particularly laboratory information systems
Knowledge of laboratory business processes and instrumentation
Certification from a recognized national agency such as ASCP, ASM, ACS, HEW, orNCA
Programming skills and/or information systems development tools experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Typically works in a normal office environment with frequent visits to clinical and anatomic pathology laboratories.

to complete assignments, projects, and issue resolution within appropriate timeframes,
Interpersonal skills to be able to interface with information systems clients and colleagues throughout facility to determine needs, define objectives, gain acceptance of the system throughout the shared user community, and assist in implementation of systems.

Education:
Must possess a valid Michigan driver\'s license and transportation to travel to locations throughout facility as needed. Working hours will vary based on projects, support needs, and on-call responsibilities.
Certifications Licenses:
Certification from a recognized national agency such as ASCP, ASM, ACS, HEW, or NCA Programming
Fully remote position; can be located anywhere in the US as long as they will work 8a-4p EST
If they only have IT experience, they will not be a fit for this position
MUST HAVE BS in medical technology, MLT or MLS
MUST HAVE 4 years of experience in each of the following: Validations of data conversion, Sunquest build experience, Beaker build experience, Project management, Data collection, Anatomical pathology build experience, Clinical pathology build experience, and Genomics build experience.
NICE TO HAVE 5-10 years of experience in each of the above
Must be highly organized with excellent client facing communication skills and ability to work independently.
