We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Systems Engineer to join our client Sandvik! You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of mining machines control systems. If you have a background in automation, and enjoy taking ownership of complex projects, we’d love to hear from you. About the role

In this position, you will be part of the product development process for mining machine control systems, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. You will work closely with various stakeholders, such as the hydraulics and electrical teams, to define features and functionalities for the machines. You will also collaborate with UX/UI designers to create and communicate specifications for the systems' development. Additionally, you’ll collect feedback from hardware testing and adjust functionalities accordingly. In this role, you will have the opportunity to see the entire product development process and work as a key part of it's success.

Work tasks

• Take ownership of software specifications by refining system requirements into detailed software specifications.
• Work closely with the software development team, explaining system functionalities and ensuring clarity on project requirements.
• Engage in hardware testing, gather feedback, and continuously update and refine specifications as necessary.
• Oversee the entire delivery phase of the project, ensuring successful implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance of the system once deployed to production.

We are looking for

• Language: English, Finnish is seen as a merit.
• Bachelor's degree for example in automation engineering.
