Systems V&V Engineer

Our client is a world leader in the development of systems used for Naval vessels. They are looking to hire a V&V Engineer to join their team.

V&V engineers are a core to each project. Working within project teams, the V&V function ensures the essential activities are conducted throughout engineering lifecycle.

This role will involve travel to test houses which are situated around the UK; this travel varies from project to project, so a degree of flexibility is required.

Due to the nature of the role you must be able to gain and maintain UK Eyes Only SC clearance.

Your Responsibilities:

* Apply best practice across the Systems Engineering lifecycle, from requirements, design, integration and the V&V stages, supporting the acceptance process.
* Contribute towards key elements of management plans, processes using approved methods, SQEP and resources/facilities, also their maintenance and management.
* Aid creation and perform Integration, Verification, Validation and Test activities as per approved plans, processes and procedures.
* Maintain alignment, or a tailored approach, of lifecycle activities in accordance with department and Industry standards
* Support Project reviews, including Design reviews, Risk, Change Impact etc.

Your Experience:

* Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering/Software/Hardware engineering (SE processes and methodologies (ISO 15288/ISO 29119/INCOSE)
* Experienced in System Engineering V&V lifecycle planning, delivering and reporting
* Proven experience of an evidence based approach for Systems Integration, V&V and Acceptance
* Systems thinking, logical approach, RCA/rectification/regression management
* Good communication, stakeholder management, & technical report writing
