About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Reliability Engineer to join our team and serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor for our customers. As a key member of our deployment team and customer success team, you’ll leverage your deep knowledge of cloud computing, SaaS, Kubernetes, and other modern infrastructure technologies to deliver Aperio SaaS to meet our customers' unique business needs. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to guide our customers through the deployment, optimization, and scaling of our data quality and integrity SaaS. Key Responsibilities Technical Consultation and Solution Architecture: Engage with customers to understand their IT infrastructure, IT Systems, and business requirements. Specify optimum architecture for on-premise components, integration, and the Aperio SaaS platform. Customer Onboarding and Deployment: Lead the technical onboarding and deployment process, helping customers successfully integrate Aperio products with the customers’ information technology and operational technology. Technical Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary technical point of contact during pre-sales and post-sales activities, troubleshooting complex issues and collaborating with engineering to resolve them. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to advocate for customer needs, influence product direction, and provide technical feedback. Documentation and Best Practices: Develop technical documentation, best practice guides, and knowledge resources to support both customers and internal teams. Keep Learning: Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies; we want you to tell us where we should go. Provide technical training and mentoring to junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Systems Reliability Engineer, Software Support Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar technical role, with a strong focus on cloud, SaaS, and Kubernetes. Cloud Expertise: In-depth experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with multi-cloud environments. Dockers or Kubernetes Mastery: Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting; experience with related tools like Helm, Istio, or service meshes. Networking: TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, load balancing Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, etc.) and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Technical Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for customers. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in complex, distributed systems, and SaaS. Customer-Focused: Ability to understand customer needs, build relationships, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have Knowledge of operational technology such as the AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, GitLab CI, Jenkins). Relevant certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Kubernetes CKA/CKAD). Job Type: Part-time Pay: $105,523.00 - $116,148.00 per year Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: Remote
