Job Summary In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and leadership abilities to deliver exceptional, high-performance web applications for data visualisation, data analysis and big data management. You will oversee a team of front-end developers, collaborate with designers and back-end developers, and play a key role in shaping the architecture, usability, and visual experience of our products. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of front-end developers to achieve high-quality code and maintain a strong design sense. Technical Strategy and Architecture: Develop and guide the front-end technical strategy, focusing on performance, reusability, and maintainability of code. Project Ownership: Take ownership of front-end development projects from conception to deployment, ensuring that they meet design and performance standards. Code Quality and Standards: Define and enforce best practices, conduct regular code reviews, and ensure code quality across the team. Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, back-end developers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless user experiences and technical alignment. Optimization and Performance: Monitor and improve front-end performance, responsiveness, and compatibility across browsers and devices. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing components, contributing to a sustainable, scalable codebase. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest front-end technologies, tools, and trends, and bring new ideas and innovations to the team. Qualifications, Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of front-end development experience, with expertise in React frameworks 3+ years of experience in a lead or senior role, with a track record of managing and mentoring front-end developers. Proficiency in React, Vite, TypeScript, React router v6, Material IU, Node-Sass (SCSS), Yup, Redux + Redux Toolkit, Chart.js, react-chartjs-2 and Google Maps API integrations, Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards (WCAG). Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integration with back-end systems. Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and DevOps practices for front-end development. Additional Qualification Certifications: Relevant certifications in front-end development or UI/UX design. Agile Experience: Solid experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Scrum or Kanban processes.
