We are searching for a technical engineer to join one of our pre-seed startup validations as an Entrepreneur in Residence, pioneering advancements in foundational learning models for humanoid robotics, particularly for dynamic and unpredictable logistics environments.
The solution we have in mind ensures robots will eventually:
Perform essential tasks in unstructured environments where layouts and human activities vary.
Deliver task-specific value built on the capabilities of current foundational models (like Nvidia’s GR00T), which excel in general tasks but require further specialization for complex logistics workflows.
Collaborate autonomously with automation systems, such as BEUMER’s conveyors, allowing seamless interaction with machinery, human workers, and other robots.
Our solution will create Large Action Models (LAMs) tailored to specific logistics tasks, allowing humanoids to:
Utilizing proprietary data from BEUMER and Beam, such as parcel flow footage and warehouse operators' insights, can reduce learning hours.
Integrate with modular AI training frameworks, making humanoids versatile and capable of synchronizing with sortation systems, parcel patterns, and dynamic workflows.
Operate with OEM-agnostic software, enabling cost-effective and scalable deployment across diverse logistics environments.
YOU'LL BE THE PERFECT MATCH IF
You’re an engineer who knows AI for autonomous navigation and task optimization
Experience with robotics system architecture
Multi-sensor integration and human-robot interaction
You have an impressive track record of running your startups or as a mid-size or larger company unit manager.
You have an entrepreneurial spirit and bring an excellent leadership mindset.
You have a network in logistics technology or supply chain technology.
You want to be part of building something special - together with us.
First funding experience is a plus.

Engage with your role as technical co-founder and build the company on its way from zero to one.
Build and lead technical development, be a product owner, and make sure to launch world-class products with the team of your own choice.

Beam is based in Berlin; we're actively seeking entrepreneurs across the EU and ideally in Germany, so not suitable outside of the region.
