Duration : 11 Months
Location : US Remote New York and Menlo Park preference

o Build new products and improve existing ones in collaboration with Meta product engineering teams and cross functional partners to meet business needs
o Communicate strategic information and context from the company and organization to the team and other stakeholders
o influence the roadmap and product development
o Design and build end-to-end systems and launch-plan strategies
o Bring unique insights of products and technologies and apply deep knowledge from industry, verticals and partner segments to fill a void that exists across our platforms
o Partner with appropriate stakeholders to make ongoing program and project decisions, leverage insights from the team, and make recommendations and/or decisions when issues arise
o Use broad range of technical and soft skills to build productive relationships with our partners, and independently resolve complex technical and business needs
o Guide workflow changes, and gain consensus from stakeholders while driving toward solutions
o Influence decision-making through presentation of data-centric business topics
o Set clear expectations and goals, and assign projects aligned with team strengths, skills and motivations, provide guidance, and adjust management style to match the needs of the individual
o Manage team performance, including coaching for career growth, and create a healthy team environment
o Lead with care, recognize individual contributions, give and seek timely feedback, ensuring the team is healthy and sustaining productive relationships
o Conduct Code reviews and provide thoughtful, meaningful, and constructive feedback
o Willingness to travel 25% of the time

Operations Management
o Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects/initiatives
o Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
o Prepare project status reports and updates for leadership
o Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues

Process Improvement
o Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement
o Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
o Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and make adjustments as needed

Team Management:
o Supervise and mentor business engineering team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to complete their tasks
o Provide guidance and support to team members as needed
o Foster a positive and productive work environment


Minimum Qualifications
o 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years of experience managing a team of engineers
o B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
o Experience with designing, building, and iterating on scalable software platforms applications and taking products from a nascent state to a level of maturity
o Experience building software in languages like Python, Objective-C, PHP, C/C++, Ruby, C# or other programming languages
o Experience proactively identifying and executing organizational, product improvements across several teams
o Experience building consensus within large cross-functional organizations
o Experience in translating technical concepts into language for audiences, including software engineers, business and technical leaders
o Experience growing teams and designing organizations to maximize impact
o Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications
o Experience with agile software development methodologies
o Knowledge of the social media landscape globally
o Experience working with global teams
