Job Description
:

The UI Developer will enhance developer experience by building developer-facing tools and SDKs, collaborating with cross-functional teams like Venmo, and contributing to open-source projects. This role involves providing architectural insights, improving APIs and SDKs, and fostering strong connections with internal and external developer communities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Venmo, to align on product design and development strategies.
  • Code Quality & Architecture: Contribute to code reviews, provide architectural feedback, and ensure robust, scalable solutions.
  • Developer Experience: Engage with developers to understand pain points, enhance SDKs, and improve integration experiences.
  • Open Source Development: Lead and support SDK development on public GitHub repositories, maintaining high-quality documentation and code.
  • Developer Advocacy: Create tutorials, blogs, and tools to engage the developer community and enhance adoption of SDKs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and apply innovative solutions to improve processes and products.

 

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript application development.
    • Familiarity with developer-facing products like SDKs, REST APIs, or GraphQL (preferred but not required).
    • Experience in open-source development or community engagement is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical problem-solving and debugging skills.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
    • A keen interest in enhancing developer tools and experiences.
    • Ability to work effectively in diverse and inclusive environments.
