User Experience (UX) Developer Position:
We're seeking a UX Developer / Design Technologist with a foundation in software engineering to bridge the gap between design and development. The UX Developer will lead the design efforts across Valkyrie’s range of products. You’ll create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that are not only user-centric but technically informed—ensuring designs are feasible, scalable, and elegant in implementation. As the UX Developer, you will be responsible for:
- Design user interactions and flows that are intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging
- Translate complex product requirements into well-structured, functional design systems
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to shape product direction
- Design and create prototypes to test and validate design concepts with users and stakeholders
- Leverage your development knowledge to inform design decisions and anticipate technical constraints
- Ensure designs are development-ready and assist in bridging the gap between design and code
- Advocate for design best practices, usability standards, and accessibility
User Experience (UX) Developer Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design and development, with a portfolio showcasing complex projects
- 3+ years of Interaction design experience
- Proficient in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure)
- Experience creating visual representations (wireframes and prototypes) of user interfaces to test and refine designs
- Experience working in agile product teams
- Ability to balance user needs with technical feasibility and business goals
- Strong ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with basic artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts (classification, clustering, model inputs/outputs, etc.) is a plus
- Experience designing for web and mobile applications is a plus
- Familiarity with design systems and component-based design is a plus
- Ability to code interactive prototypes or contribute to front-end development is a plus
