How We Operate [P1] works by selecting positive-impact nonprofit and open source game projects worthy of community support and then collaborates with volunteers to organize the volunteer workforce needed to complete such games. Role Description This is a remote volunteer role for a Game Programmer at [P1] Games. The Game Programmer will be responsible for coding the base engine of the game and implementing game features. Responsibilities As a volunteer Game Programmer, you have the flexibility to choose your own hours and set your own deadlines. Since we are a volunteer organization, you may choose the responsibilities you feel confident in at any given time: Writing clean and efficient code for game mechanics and features. Collaborating with designers and artists to bring game concepts to life. Debugging and resolving technical issues in the game. Integrating graphics, audio, and gameplay elements. Optimizing game performance for various platforms. Keeping up-to-date with the latest programming techniques and game development technologies.
