Job Summary: The Web Developer is responsible for assisting in the creation and maintenance of websites and web applications, primarily in WordPress, for Meyocks clients . The Web Developer writes clean, efficient code using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and collaborates with other developers and designers to implement new features. Duties include troubleshooting and debugging issues, ensuring websites are optimized for performance and SEO, and staying updated with the latest web technologies and trends. Additionally, participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing, all while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Collaborate with senior developers and designers and other Meyocks stakeholders throughout all stages of projects Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner. Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and industry trends. Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Proficiency with WordPress. Familiarity with PHP. Understanding of front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. Familiarity with back-end technologies like Node.js or Python Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS and Cloudways Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development. Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services. Understanding of SEO best practices. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Must be a self-starter, quick-learner, intuitive, and proactive Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3-5 years of previous experience in web development Previous experience in an advertising agency preferred.
