The Web Development Specialist is responsible for updating, maintaining and enhancing, all Ready Computing web properties. This role includes coding and technical elements as well as design elements and content, ensuring all websites are optimized, visually appealing, and aligned with our branding standards. This person will work as part of the marketing team along with Digital Design Specialists, sales staff, and content Creators. They may also collaborate with external marketing firms to incorporate updated content and designs. This person will ensure top-tier search engine optimization, effective incorporation of Google Analytics, and proper integration with multiple sales tools, such as HubSpot, and ZoomInfo, to support lead generation and sales efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
Writing code in common languages such as HTML, XML, or JavaScript form custom webpages or applications.
Customize and maintain content management systems (CMS) by updating standard theme templates and packages such as WordPress.
Testing all code to ensure quality and security, also documenting all code and storing in a code repository with appropriate version control.
Troubleshooting performance or display issues on the website, developing and implementing solutions to identified issues.
Performing routine maintenance on all web properties, including updates, security patches, and bug fixes.
Collaborating with designers and content creators for fresh content to regularly update the sites.
Collaborating with the IT department to ensure all tools and technologies are compliant with company security policies and procedures (GDPR)
Conduct regular audits of all web properties with the compliance team.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Software and Tools: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and Canva.
Programming Languages (if applicable): HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript).
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze technical problems and develop effective solutions.
Administrative Responsibilities
Log time each week in the corporate time-tracking system;
Travel on occasion to customer and partner sites;
Maintain company and customer information confidential at all times;
Take on other responsibilities and assignments from time to time as requested by management.

Education and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred)
Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in Web Development or similar role, preferred.
